Practical guide
How to forward your calls to kallmy
Five minutes, no technical skills, reversible at any time. It works with every Italian carrier: here you'll find ready-to-copy codes and the steps for mobile and landline numbers.
Your codes, ready to copy
Enter your number above and the codes fill in automatically, ready to copy into your phone's dial pad.
How it works, in 4 steps
- 1
Find your kallmy number
You'll see it in Dashboard → Agent as soon as your receptionist is active. It's the number you'll forward calls to.
- 2
Dial the code from your property's phone
Open the dial pad as if making a regular call, type the code (or paste it) and press the call button.
- 3
Wait for the confirmation
A confirmation message from your carrier appears on screen (e.g. “Call forwarding activated”). That's all it takes.
- 4
Make a test call
Call your property's number from another phone and don't answer: your AI receptionist should pick up. The call will appear in your dashboard.
Tip: start with “when unanswered” + “when busy”. Your phone keeps ringing for you and the AI only steps in when you can't answer: the gentlest way to begin. Once you trust it, you can switch to forwarding all calls.
Your mobile carrier
Call forwarding codes are a GSM standard: they work identically with every Italian mobile carrier (including the Italian SIM you use for your property). Below you'll find carrier-specific notes on costs and app-based alternatives.
Landline
Many properties receive calls on an Italian landline number: you can forward to kallmy from there too. Codes and procedures vary by carrier and contract.
Do you have a PBX (phone switchboard) or the landline codes don't work? Setups vary by contract: write to us at info@kallmy.com and we'll configure it together.
Turning forwarding off or checking it
Forwarding is always reversible, for free and in a few seconds. These codes apply to mobile numbers; for landlines use the codes listed in your carrier's card above:
##61###67###62###21###002#*#21# · *#61# · *#67#Common issues
The code is rejected or returns an error: what do I do?
Make sure you dialled the full number with the international prefix (+39) and no spaces. If the error persists, call forwarding may not be enabled on your line: contact your carrier's customer service and ask them to activate the “call forwarding” (call diversion) service — it is free or included in most plans.
Does call forwarding cost anything?
It depends on your phone plan: the minutes of forwarded calls are billed as outgoing calls to your kallmy number. With unlimited-minutes plans it is normally included. If in doubt, check with your carrier.
Will guests notice the forwarding?
No. Anyone calling your property's number notices nothing: they hear the phone ring as usual, then the AI receptionist answers with the welcome message you configured.
Can I turn forwarding off whenever I want?
Yes, at any time and for free. From your mobile, dial ##002# to deactivate every type of forwarding, or use the specific codes (##21#, ##61#, ##67#, ##62#). On landlines the codes vary by carrier (usually #21#, for Vodafone ##21#): you'll find them in the dedicated section of this guide.
Prefer to do it together with us?
We set up call forwarding with you step by step, on WhatsApp or over the phone, and check the first test calls together. It's included with every plan.
